Streaming Doctor does not scan your network, access another device or test playback. It helps you decide what to check from the information you provide. If you are troubleshooting a TV from your phone, perform the TV checks on the TV.

With Smart DNS or selective routing, an IP lookup shows the address used for that lookup. The streaming app may use a different route. Try the actual service on the device you want to watch on.

ABC.com (US)Platform check

Availability: American ABC.com serves the US and listed territories including Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa and US Virgin Islands. The ABC entertainment app retired on September 23, 2024; ABC News and Australia’s ABC iview are different products.
Subscription & access: ABC.com is free to visit, but some episodes or live streams require participating TV-provider authentication. An ABC/MyDisney profile alone does not unlock all TV-provider content.
App or provider: Do not reinstall the retired ABC entertainment app. Identify ABC.com in a supported browser, your TV provider’s app, or another current platform carrying the content.
Regional checks: The ABC.com selection is the US service, not a choice of national editions. Provider and local-stream entitlements still matter.

AMC+Regional catalogs

Availability: AMC+ lists the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Its selection differs by market and by subscription platform.
Subscription & access: Use the subscription's actual access platform. A direct AMC+ subscription uses the AMC+ app/site; channel subscriptions may be watched in Prime Video, Apple TV or Roku. Participating TV providers have their own sign-in rules.
App or provider: AMC+ credentials do not automatically sign into the separate AMC, Shudder or Sundance Now apps. Confirm the app associated with the subscription before changing network settings.
Regional checks: AMC+ serves the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Content and subscription platforms differ; check the market associated with your account.

discovery+Platform check

Availability: Identify the product first: US discovery+, Canada’s new Rogers-operated discovery+, other national offerings and platform channels have different accounts and apps. WBD’s old Canadian service closed on February 17, 2026.
Subscription & access: For Canada’s direct Rogers service, use its new subscription and app instructions. The transition notice treated Prime Video Channels customers separately; do not assume every channel customer must resubscribe.
App or provider: An old Canadian WBD app can fail because that product closed. Check whether the receipt and app belong to US discovery+, Rogers Canada or a channel provider.
Regional checks: Choose the actual access platform before diagnosing region. The old US/Canada travel wording is not a verified portability rule for the new Rogers service.

Where do you watch discovery+?

US discovery+ app or websiteThis is the US discovery+ product; check its own account and location rules.
Canada’s discoveryplus.ca / Rogers appUse the new Rogers Canadian service and app. The old Canadian WBD app is a different, closed service.
Another country’s discovery+Follow the local discovery+ service’s account, app and travel rules.

Disney+Regional catalogs

Availability: Disney+ serves selected markets across North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Content varies by viewing country. The international Hulu content hub is not a US Hulu subscription.
Subscription & access: Check the Disney+ plan, profile age rating and regional bundle. Access to a Hulu-branded title in Disney+ is different from entitlement to US Hulu or Hulu + Live TV.
App or provider: Use the local supported Disney+ app. Check profile ratings for hidden mature content and do not treat a missing Hulu hub title as proof of a broken connection.
Regional checks: Disney+ has regional catalogs. Error 73 concerns current-location availability; confirm the official explanation before treating another error as geographic.

ESPN (US)US service

Availability: This selection is ESPN’s US streaming product, including Select and Unlimited. International ESPN channels and ESPN content in Disney+ are separate regional offerings.
Subscription & access: Check whether the selected event is included in ESPN Select, Unlimited or the activated TV-provider entitlement. A Select subscription does not include every Unlimited event.
App or provider: Use the ESPN app or the access platform included with the actual plan. Participating TV-provider entitlements can require activation and linking a MyDisney account.
Regional checks: This selection is US ESPN. Event rights and local blackouts can still restrict a game; a US IP alone does not establish entitlement.

Fandango (formerly Vudu)US service

Availability: Fandango streaming, formerly Fandango at Home and Vudu, is a US service. Its July 2026 relaunch unified the Fandango name; some territory/content exceptions apply.
Subscription & access: Free ad-supported viewing coexists with individual rentals and purchases. A monthly streaming subscription is not the access requirement. The current free-streaming experience supports guest viewing; purchased libraries still require the relevant account.
App or provider: Look for the current Fandango streaming app; older device listings may still say Fandango at Home or Vudu. Check your library for a rental or purchase rather than looking for a subscription plan.
Regional checks: Fandango’s current streaming policy limits the service to the US, with some territory exceptions. There is no non-US edition of this service to select here.

FuboRegional catalogs

Availability: Fubo confirms distinct services in the US and US territories, Canada and Spain. Programming differs between these markets.
Subscription & access: Check the subscription market and package. The US Home Network must meet Fubo’s residential ISP requirements; Fubo explicitly excludes VPN/proxy and shared/public networks from Home Network eligibility.
App or provider: Check your device’s current Fubo support and software requirements. TV-device location and simultaneous-viewing rules differ from mobile travel.
Regional checks: A Canadian or Spanish Fubo subscription is not automatically a US subscription. A Residential US IP label does not establish an eligible Fubo Home Network.

HBO MaxRegional catalogs

Availability: HBO Max operates in the US and many markets across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. The current official availability list includes, among others, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Mexico and Brazil.
Subscription & access: Check whether you already have direct HBO Max access or access through a qualifying provider. A licensed HBO title on another platform is not the same as a direct HBO Max account.
App or provider: Use the current supported HBO Max app and the provider activation flow that matches the subscription.
Regional checks: HBO Max supports travel to supported markets, but catalog and account conditions can differ. It is not a US-only streaming brand.

Hulu (US)US service

Availability: The US Hulu service serves the US, with on-demand exceptions for Puerto Rico and eligible US military-base connections. Hulu + Live TV has stricter US residence rules. Hulu Japan and the Hulu hub inside international Disney+ are separate products.
Subscription & access: Check the Hulu plan and whether the title needs Live TV or an add-on. A Disney+ Hulu hub is not the same entitlement as the US Hulu subscription.
App or provider: For US Hulu, use its current app or Hulu.com and the sign-in associated with the subscription. Live TV and add-ons may require the Hulu app rather than Disney+.
Regional checks: US Hulu’s Live TV Home-network restrictions are different from a country error. Check the plan and exact message; Hulu does not support anonymizer/proxy access.

MGM+Platform check

Availability: The US MGM+ standalone app, formerly EPIX, serves the US and certain US territories. International MGM+ channels and distribution products are separate from access to this US app.
Subscription & access: The standalone app requires an eligible subscription. For a channel bought through another provider, check the entitlement and viewing app at that provider.
App or provider: Identify the MGM+ standalone app versus a channel inside Prime Video or another service. The international MGM+ brand does not establish compatibility with a US app login.
Regional checks: The US standalone MGM+ app has US access rules. International channels follow the rules of their own provider and country.

NBC app / NBC.com (US)US service

Availability: NBC’s US app/site is separate from Peacock. NBC/NBCUniversal live streams require physical US location and the applicable local-market and TV-provider conditions; this does not describe every free clip.
Subscription & access: Some episodes and live streams require participating TV-provider authorization. An internet-only ISP account or a Peacock subscription is not automatically NBC TV-provider entitlement.
App or provider: Check the NBC app or NBC.com viewing surface and relink the correct TV provider if authorization fails. Confirm device location permissions for live content.
Regional checks: NBC live access depends on provider participation, physical US location and local-market conditions. Provider authorization errors should not all be treated as country blocks.

NetflixRegional catalogs

Availability: Netflix operates in more than 190 countries and regions. Catalogs vary by country; a title in one market is not evidence that it is available in every market.
Subscription & access: Check the membership, profile and Household message separately. A missing title may reflect regional licensing, profile settings or a plan restriction.
App or provider: Use the Netflix app supported on the exact device. A Household message needs Netflix’s device verification or travel flow, rather than a generic country fix.
Regional checks: Netflix says VPN use can limit the catalog to globally licensed titles and is unsupported for live events and ad-supported experiences. A title listed in the US catalog is not evidence it will play on your account.

Paramount+Regional catalogs

Availability: Paramount+ has separate regional offerings. Its official selector lists the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, selected European markets and much of Latin America; use the current selector for the full list.
Subscription & access: Check the account’s subscription territory, plan and access platform. Paramount-branded channels and titles licensed elsewhere do not automatically include the Paramount+ app.
App or provider: Use the app and sign-in for the subscription territory or entitled provider. CBS All Access is an older name for Paramount+, not a separate current app to repair.
Regional checks: US Paramount+ terms restrict use to the subscribed territory and exclude travel outside it. Other markets have their own terms; a subscription is not automatically interchangeable between regions.

Peacock (US)US service

Availability: Peacock lists the US, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. Peacock programs licensed to overseas platforms do not make those platforms the US Peacock service.
Subscription & access: Check the plan before troubleshooting a missing category: Select excludes sports, movies and Peacock Originals; Premium and Premium Plus have different entitlements.
App or provider: Use Peacock’s supported app or website and the account containing the required plan. Confirm your exact device is supported before reinstalling.
Regional checks: This is the US Peacock service. A country error and a plan-locked title need different checks.

Philo (US)US service

Availability: Philo serves the United States, including DC, and named territories: American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands and US Virgin Islands.
Subscription & access: Distinguish Free Channels from the paid Philo lineup and add-ons. Free Channels does not require a paid subscription or credit card.
App or provider: Use Philo’s supported app or website. Check whether you are viewing Free Channels or the lineup attached to the signed-in paid account.
Regional checks: This is a US service. For an outside-US error while physically in a supported area, follow Philo’s connection and account troubleshooting before concluding a new IP is needed.

Pluto TVRegional catalogs

Availability: Pluto TV offers free local lineups in the US and international markets. This map does not claim an exhaustive current country list; local channels and catalogs differ.
Subscription & access: Pluto TV is free and ad-supported; no paid plan or credit card is required. A free profile can save your channels, watch list and progress.
App or provider: Use Pluto TV’s supported app or browser for your market. An unavailable channel may reflect the local catalog rather than a broken app.
Regional checks: Pluto TV has local services and catalogs outside the US. Confirm which lineup contains the content you want; local channels do not necessarily match the US lineup.

Prime VideoRegional catalogs

Availability: Prime Video operates internationally, with country-specific offers, catalogs and travel rules. Its subscription catalog, rentals/purchases and add-on channels are different entitlements.
Subscription & access: Check whether the title is Included with Prime, a rental/purchase or a separately paid add-on channel. A base Prime membership does not include every channel.
App or provider: Use the app or platform where the entitlement was purchased. A Prime Video channel purchase does not by itself prove access to the channel’s standalone app.
Regional checks: Travel can change the available selection. Prime Video also documents specific EU-resident travel rules; do not assume all accounts use one US catalog.

SHOWTIME programmingPlatform check

Availability: The standalone SHOWTIME streaming app and website closed on April 30, 2024. SHOWTIME programming continues through current platforms, including US Paramount+ Premium and eligible TV-provider packages.
Subscription & access: Check whether your access comes through Paramount+ Premium or a TV/channel provider. A channel package does not automatically include Paramount+ app access; eligible providers can require activation.
App or provider: The standalone SHOWTIME app has closed. Use the current app or website included with your subscription or TV provider.
Regional checks: US SHOWTIME programming is available through Paramount+ Premium and eligible provider packages. Other distributors have their own access rules; changing a connection cannot restore the retired app.

Sling TV (US)US service

Availability: Sling requires the 50 United States or Puerto Rico for subscribing, managing an account and watching. Sling International packages are international programming within this service, not an overseas edition.
Subscription & access: Paid channels require the relevant package or pass. Freestream does not require a subscription or account; signed-out paid customers may see only Freestream channels.
App or provider: Check sign-in and guide filters in the current Sling app. Local channels depend on location and plan.
Regional checks: Sling has no non-US edition to select here. Error 11-601 can indicate an unsupported location, including a VPN-related determination; it does not establish the cause of every playback error.

STARZ (US)US service

Availability: This selection is the US STARZ app and website. Licensed STARZ programming or a channel in another country is not another edition of the same US app account.
Subscription & access: Use the correct direct, app-store or TV-provider sign-in. Some channel subscriptions, including Amazon Channels and Roku Channels, do not provide access to the STARZ app.
App or provider: Before treating an incorrect-password message as a network problem, check whether the subscription includes the STARZ app or must be watched in another provider's app.
Regional checks: This selection is the US STARZ app/site. STARZ’s help excludes access from outside the US and through VPN/proxy connections; check its location and account requirements before changing your setup.

TubiRegional catalogs

Availability: Confirmed Tubi markets include the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and the UK. Device, catalog and event availability vary; this is not a per-title guarantee.
Subscription & access: Tubi is free and ad-supported, with no paid ad-free tier. Some events or features need a free signed-in account; check the specific event’s requirements.
App or provider: Supported devices vary by market. Check the supported-device list for your country and any requirements for the particular event.
Regional checks: Tubi operates in several markets. US event and catalog availability should not be assumed for the local version elsewhere.
