The quick answer
For a region message, compare your ordinary connection with the VPN disconnected. For a blank player, try a second title and another supported device. For missing content, check the local catalog and Kids settings. For a missing Watchlist, confirm which Tubi account is selected.

Tubi says content is unavailable in your region
Tubi says its library varies by country because of licensing. Its regional-content guidance also explains that it uses the connection’s IP address for location and recommends disconnecting a VPN when all content appears unavailable.
Test the same title after reopening Tubi on your normal connection. Then try a different program already shown in the app. Keep those results separate: one unavailable title is a narrower problem than an entire library that will not play. Check Tubi’s country-specific device information when watching outside the United States.
- Record the country you are in and the exact message, without guessing its cause.
- If the result changes only with the connection, include both results in your support request.
The video freezes, stays blank or reports a DRM error
For web and mobile problems, Tubi’s playback checklist includes updating the browser or operating system, restarting, and clearing relevant cache or cookies. Start with the least disruptive step. Before clearing site data, make sure you can sign back in.
A DRM or HDMI-related message deserves a different check from buffering. Tubi’s DRM guidance includes updating the app, trying another title and checking the HDMI connection. If you use an external streaming device, test the cable and TV connection rather than repeatedly changing your network location.
- Compare the same title on a phone or browser while leaving the network unchanged.
- Record whether the failure starts before playback or partway through a video.
- Use Tubi’s error-code reference for the exact code displayed.
A movie disappears or search returns fewer titles
An old search result or saved link does not establish current availability. Tubi says a title may lack local rights or may have left after its license expired; see its content-availability explanation. Search inside the current app and check the exact season or episode.
Also check whether the device is in Tubi Kids Mode or using a Kids Account. Tubi’s account and Kids guide describes separate age-appropriate experiences. An adult account holder can review the selected account and its content settings through the normal controls.
- Distinguish a title missing from search from a title present but unable to play.
- Tell support which account experience and device show the missing item.
- If other titles work, keep your next question focused on the missing title.
Your account, Watchlist or viewing history is missing
On supported devices, Tubi can hold several accounts, each with its own history, recommendations and Watchlist. The account-switching guide explains how to choose the intended account. Seeing someone else’s recommendations does not automatically mean your own account data was deleted.
If you cannot sign in, use Tubi’s official password-recovery page for the email associated with your account. If the same account works in a browser but not on the TV, note that difference for support. Avoid deleting the account as a troubleshooting step; first determine whether the problem is only a local sign-in session.
- Compare the account selected on your TV and phone.
- Check whether playback itself works while personal lists fail to appear.
- Keep login credentials out of screenshots sent to support.
Check the connection on the device you are using
Open What is my IP?, select Save as before, connect your intended VPN route and select Check again. Keep the same browser and compare the IPv4 and estimated country. Then test the actual player.
A different IPv4 confirms a change for that browser request. Selective routing can send the player and checker along different paths; a laptop result does not verify a TV app. This tool does not test IPv6, certify residential status, or establish which titles your account can watch.
If nothing changes, follow the unchanged-IP checklist. If the estimated country is unexpected, see IP location checks.

Quick questions
Why does one Tubi movie fail while another plays?
Record whether the first title is missing, region-restricted, or showing a player error. Compare it on another supported device. Those results help separate availability from a device-specific playback problem without treating the whole service as broken.
Should I change my IP if Tubi shows a DRM error?
Start with the app, device and display connection identified by Tubi’s DRM guidance. Preserve the exact message and compare another title. A protection or HDMI problem needs different evidence from an explicit location error.
