The quick answer
Open Pluto TV directly, try a second live channel and an on-demand title, then compare the same content on another supported device. If there is a location message, compare your normal connection with the VPN disconnected. If only your saved list is missing, check the signed-in profile first.

Pluto TV says it is unavailable in your location
Pluto has an official unavailable-location page. If that is what you see, record the wording and the country you are actually in. A page that cannot offer the service is a different starting point from a playable catalog with one broken video.
For a useful comparison, keep the same device and browser, disconnect your VPN, and reopen Pluto from its homepage. Change one thing at a time. If the outcome changes with the connection, tell support both results; that identifies a connection-dependent symptom without proving precisely why it happened.
- Open Pluto directly instead of an old link to a particular episode.
- Note whether the message appears before the catalog or only after pressing Play.
- If your ordinary connection is also rejected, ask Pluto support about availability in your location.
A channel freezes or the player stays blank
Check Pluto’s known-issues page before making several local changes. Its status can change; a previously clear report is not evidence that today’s interruption is confined to your device.
Try two channels, then an on-demand program. Write down whether failure happens immediately, after an advertisement, or at the same point in one program. Next, close and reopen the app, check for an available update, and compare on another device from Pluto’s supported-device guidance. These comparisons help you give support a reproducible example.
- If only one channel fails, record its name and the time, including your time zone.
- If only the TV fails, test the same content in a browser on the same network.
- Keep app version, device model and the exact error with your report.
A show or channel is missing
Pluto presents live channels and on-demand movies and shows as separate ways to watch, and says content availability can change. See the official Pluto TV overview. Finding a program in a live schedule does not, by itself, establish that the same episode is available to start on demand.
Search the title in Pluto itself, check its season and episode, and compare the current guide with the link you originally followed. If other programs play normally, focus your support question on that title or channel. Resetting the entire app gives little information about a single missing listing.
- Check whether your link refers to a live channel or an on-demand item.
- Include the exact title and episode rather than only the series name.
Your Watch List or profile will not load
Pluto describes its free profile as a way to sync favorite channels, a Watch List and viewing progress across devices. It also states that Pluto viewing does not require a payment card. These are Pluto’s own account and service distinctions, not a reason to buy a different subscription when a saved list disappears.
Confirm that the TV and browser are using the same profile. If you can still watch but cannot retrieve saved items, report the account symptom separately. Before signing out everywhere, make sure you can sign back in on one device; preserve a screenshot of the missing-list problem.
- Use the sign-in or recovery options inside the official app or website.
- Describe whether playback works while profile features fail.
Check the connection on the device you are using
Open What is my IP?, select Save as before, connect your intended VPN route and select Check again. Keep the same browser and compare the IPv4 and estimated country. Then test the actual player.
A different IPv4 confirms a change for that browser request. Selective routing can send the player and checker along different paths; a laptop result does not verify a TV app. This tool does not test IPv6, certify residential status, or establish which titles your account can watch.
If nothing changes, follow the unchanged-IP checklist. If the estimated country is unexpected, see IP location checks.

Quick questions
Does a frozen Pluto channel prove my VPN is blocked?
No. Compare another channel, an on-demand title and the same device on your ordinary connection. Record which comparisons succeed. A connection-dependent result is useful evidence, but it does not explain every player failure.
What should I send Pluto support?
Send the channel or title, time of failure, device and app version, exact message, and the results of your live-versus-on-demand comparison. Explain whether the problem follows one device, one connection, or one program.
