Your next step from abroad
For US STARZ abroad, first confirm that your subscription includes the player you are opening. If you then need a US network route, configure a Residential US IP on that watching device and retry an included title. Your existing package and login method still determine account access.
STARZ does not support access from outside the US or through VPN/proxy connections. A residential exit is an alternative route to test, not an official roaming feature or a guarantee of playback.

Four steps before trying STARZ from abroad
- Identify who bills you. Read the most recent receipt and subscription description. Check that the plan is active, then open the viewing app associated with that purchase.
- Choose the original login method. Use the direct account, applicable Apple/Google sign-in or eligible TV-provider route. If the app offers a new trial, check existing access before accepting another charge.
- Prepare the connection on your viewing device. If you choose Residential US IP for the US player, follow the supplied setup and reopen STARZ. A connection running only on your phone does not cover a separate television.
- Test one included film and the program you want. Note whether the failure occurs before login or after pressing play. Keep the wording of any Forbidden, subscription or player message for the relevant check below.

Use the STARZ travel planner to prepare the device and destination before departure.
Paying for STARZ does not always mean using the STARZ app
The official login guidance separates direct credentials, Apple/Google sign-in and TV-provider sign-in. It also says Amazon Channels and Roku Channels subscriptions do not provide access to the separate STARZ app.
Check the entire app name on your screen, particularly on a Roku device where more than one viewing route may exist. Follow the STARZ account-access checks before resetting a password repeatedly. An email receipt confirms a purchase, but its seller and subscription description tell you where to use it.
Read a Forbidden or location message separately
STARZ’s terms set account and service-area requirements. Its login help also identifies VPN, proxy and outside-US access as possible causes of rejection. If you are actually in a supported US location, compare the ordinary connection with your VPN while keeping the same device and title.
From abroad, a local connection failing is not proof of a bad password. For an alternative US route, try Residential US IP on the player’s device, then compare the exact result.

Use the outside-US checks or the connection diagnosis. A different IP does not change STARZ’s policies, activate a package or ensure acceptance.
A locked title or extra payment prompt needs an account check
First determine whether the program is listed inside your subscribed service or on a separate rental or purchase screen. Record the exact film, season and episode. If other included titles play, the working examples help support distinguish a catalog or package question from an app-wide failure.
Open the locked-content and package checklist. Ask the company that bills you to confirm access before buying STARZ again. A connection subscription cannot add a missing streaming package or change the seller responsible for your existing one.
When login works but the television does not play
Keep the account and title fixed while you compare another supported screen. If the film plays on your phone, check which app it uses and whether the TV follows the same connection. The phone-versus-TV comparison helps make that test useful.
For a black screen, freezing or persistent buffering, follow the STARZ player checks. If the TV has no STARZ app available, use the app-availability guide; changing IP does not make every TV model compatible. Note the model and app version when contacting support.
Choose your STARZ connection after confirming access
Review Residential US IP plans for the US player you already use. After subscribing to the connection service, use the supplied credentials and device instructions, then retry an included title. Your STARZ subscription remains separate, and the service’s account and location checks still apply.
