Your viewing list. Your Mexico trip.

Taking Your US Streaming Services to Mexico?

Get Hulu, Peacock, Sling TV, Philo or Pluto TV ready before departure. Choose your service for a device checklist, help with a current problem, or Residential US IP plans. For Pluto TV, first decide whether Mexico’s local lineup already has what you want.

Before departure or already in Mexico?

Choose the next step for the service you use.

Open a checklist to prepare your device, account and playback test. If you are already in Mexico with an error, use the diagnostic guide. Each service also has a direct link to its Residential US IP plans.

Account access or a different lineup?

Mexico changes the question for each service.

Hulu, Peacock, Sling TV and Philo do not list Mexico as supported territory for their US services. Pluto TV has a local offering, where the relevant question is whether it carries your chosen channel. Use this comparison to prepare the right thing.

Mexico travel: five services and the checks that matter
ServiceOfficial geographic positionPrepare before departure
HuluMexico is outside Hulu’s supported US streaming territory; Live TV has additional residence and Home-network requirements. Hulu access rulesTest the Hulu player on your travel device, then treat library video, live channels and DVR as separate checks.
PeacockPeacock lists the US and selected US territories, not Mexico. Peacock availabilityConfirm the exact show or event in your plan. Prepare eligible offline viewing separately from live streaming.
Sling TVWatching Sling requires being in the 50 US states or Puerto Rico. Sling location rulesCheck the channel package, simultaneous viewers and a cloud recording. A Spanish-language package does not establish Mexico access.
PhiloPhilo supports the US and its territories; access from Mexico can trigger its location error. Philo availabilityKeep your sign-in method available after any SIM change and test a saved show or live channel.
Pluto TVPluto TV has a Mexican/Latin American offering alongside its US service. Compare the actual channel and title rather than assuming the lineups match. Open Pluto TVWrite down your must-watch US channels. Try the local selection first; Pluto TV itself is free.
Prepare the connection before the trip

Set up a Residential US IP on the screen you will pack.

A Residential US IP provides an address associated with a US home-broadband connection for routed traffic. Choose your service’s plans above, receive your USip access details and follow the device instructions. Test the actual video before departure so you have time to resolve setup questions.

A US IP does not add a streaming subscription, restore a removed channel or change app-store country. The service’s territory, account and Home-network rules still apply, and a provider may reject a connection. Check playback separately from the IP result.

Your Mexico arrival plan

Check the network, lineup and local start time separately.

  1. Before leaving: save one episode, channel or recording to test again, and keep access to account-recovery email or your sign-in phone number. A travel SIM must not leave you unable to receive a login code.
  2. At the hotel or rental: finish the Wi-Fi sign-in screen before setting up your connection. Test on your personal screen first. Recheck when switching between Wi-Fi and a mobile hotspot; they are different networks.
  3. For scheduled viewing: verify the event’s date and start time for the Mexican city where you will stay. Do not use a remembered US broadcast time or a single time conversion for the whole trip.
  4. For Pluto TV: compare channel names and the actual episode. A Spanish menu or Spanish audio alone does not tell you whether you are seeing the US or local lineup.

For a flight or time without internet, prepare eligible downloads and check their expiry. A saved cloud recording is not an offline file. Keep your own supported phone, tablet or laptop available if the accommodation’s television cannot run the app you need.

Evidence and your own playback check

Use recorded results as a reference, then test your setup.

The published USip test results show the dates and setups behind individual checks. Read the Hulu analysis, Sling TV analysis or Pluto TV analysis for context. This hub reports no new playback test from Mexico; checklist marks record your own preparation.
