The release contains 74 USip VPN observations: 72 marked Works, one Works with issues and one Does not work. The 27 USip SmartDNS observations were all marked Works. No published entry is marked Could not test. Phone and computer rows use USip VPN; TV-player and console rows use USip SmartDNS, with no device label appearing in both groups. The groups contain different services, devices and conditions, so their counts cannot tell us which connection method performs better.

There are 20 service labels, 10 playback-device labels and 33 reported country labels. Those are labels in this dataset, not a count of independently verified platforms, physical devices or nationwide availability. Sixteen content descriptions explicitly identify a live stream; the remaining 85 are classified as on-demand. Service labels are retained as recorded.

Start with the service and device you use, then narrow by connection, reported country, result or date. Search looks through service names, content and public notes. Each row is one observation, including repeated checks of the same title. Open its details to read the note and copy a permanent record link.

Dates are the recorded calendar dates; no exact time or timezone was supplied. “Works” means the brief session was reported as working. It does not mean that every episode, channel or feature was checked. An empty note means no extra note was recorded, not that picture quality or uninterrupted long-term viewing was verified.

Playback findings by service

These summaries describe the 101 released observations from 28–31 October 2026, dataset v1.1. Each count is a count of short team-reported sessions, not a service-wide success rate. VPN Observer and USip share an owner; the sessions were not independently reproduced. The links below open the recorded evidence.

Playback findings by device

These are device labels, not counts of unique physical devices. Phone and computer records use USip VPN; TV-player and console records use USip SmartDNS. They are different groups, not a controlled comparison. No device label was tested with both connection methods in this release.

The two observations that need closer attention

STARZ: the player did not start

On 29 October 2026, a MacBook session in the reported country of Sweden used USip VPN to attempt BMF S4E2 on STARZ. The result is Does not work. The recorded note says: “Player showed a proxy/VPN detected message and would not start.” Inspect the STARZ observation.

This is a recorded rejection during that session. The record does not establish which detection signal triggered the message, whether a particular address was blacklisted, or what happened on another player. We retain the failure alongside the working sessions. A reader seeing the same message should record the exact player, content and connection before changing settings; the STARZ troubleshooting guide separates connection warnings from sign-in and access problems.

Prime Video: one brief buffering interruption

On 30 October 2026, a MacBook session in the reported country of Portugal used USip VPN for Reacher S3E1 on Prime Video. The result is Works with issues. Playback started, buffered once for a few seconds, then continued normally. Inspect the Prime Video observation.

The note records an interruption, not its cause. There was no controlled comparison of the local network, connection route, player or streaming service, and no speed measurement. This observation should not be described as an outage or a general Prime Video failure. If your symptom is repeated buffering rather than a location warning, use the buffering checklist to keep the next checks focused.

Turn a similar result into a useful next check

Match the player first. A working phone session is useful context for another phone, but it does not establish what a television will do. Select the closest device label and read the content field. Device labels do not include every hardware generation, operating-system version or app version, so even a matching label is not a complete reproduction of the setup.

Match the viewing task. A brief on-demand episode check does not test a live channel, sports event or an entire season. Use the Live filter when that is your goal. For a channel or match, verify the access attached to your own account and test that specific stream. The table does not certify subscription eligibility or establish that a title belongs exclusively to a US catalog.

Use the note to choose the next action. A proxy message and a buffering interruption are different symptoms. Record the wording you see and use Streaming Doctor to follow the relevant diagnostic route. Repeat a short check on your actual travel device. Note the service, title, date, connection and result. Keep the account and title the same when comparing two configurations so there are fewer changing factors. For planning, build a travel checklist and save the steps you need before departure. A successful preparation check is useful evidence for that session; it is not a promise about a later network or date.

How these checks were made and prepared

VPN Observer test team manually checked playback startup and brief viewing on the listed devices and connections, usually for around two minutes. A stopwatch was not required, and neither a screenshot nor a screen recording was mandatory. The observations are team-reported session records. This report is not an externally audited or independently reproduced experiment. VPN Observer and USip share ownership; that relationship also applies when interpreting the commercial links on this page.

Version 1.1 uses a frozen snapshot of records from 28–31 October 2026. Of 120 source entries, 19 were excluded because the supplied records did not establish sufficiently clear playback-device or access-path details. This includes seven entries withheld from the initial review snapshot and 12 additional entries excluded during editorial review. An excluded entry is not a measured failure. The public table, downloads and counts use only the same 101 released observations. Private operational material and personal account information are not part of the public dataset.

Each observation retains a stable ID. Service, device, country and content labels preserve the supplied wording. Live classification applies only where the content description explicitly marks a live stream; replays remain on-demand. Earlier notes referring to “full quality” were normalized to “Playback was reported without interruption. Resolution was not measured.” No resolution or bitrate value has been inferred.

The reported country is the location recorded for the session, not independently verified IP geography. Connection names identify the reported configuration; they do not demonstrate how every individual request was routed. This log does not measure IP classification. What you should not infer

This is a small, dated collection of selected checks. It is not a random sample of subscribers, addresses, countries or all possible device combinations. Several observations may concern the same title or similar setup. The label counts therefore describe the released records and cannot support country-wide availability claims or provider-wide success percentages.

Brief playback does not measure sustained picture quality, speed, long-term stability, later episodes, casting or every live event. The log does not establish account eligibility, catalog exclusivity or the exact cause of an error. It also does not compare USip with other providers or with an otherwise identical connection. The different mixes in the VPN and SmartDNS groups prevent a fair performance ranking between them.

A missing combination means Not tested in this dataset. A recorded failure remains a failure for that particular session; it should not be generalized to every session for the service. Likewise, a recorded success should not be promoted into a compatibility guarantee. Check the date and the full row whenever citing a result.

Updates and corrections

31 October 2026 — v1.1 published: The initial v1.0 review snapshot contained 113 observations and withheld seven source entries. Editorial review excluded 12 more observations whose playback-device or access-path details could not be established clearly from the supplied records. The published v1.1 release contains 101 observations from the four-day test period, with 19 source entries excluded in total. Counts, downloads and the graphic have been updated together. The reported STARZ failure and Prime Video buffering issue remain in the dataset with their original notes.

Corrections will retain the affected record ID and appear here with a new release version where applicable. New checks will receive new IDs. We will not silently change an observation date to make it look recent.
