The quick answer
Choose the service you want, then confirm your Fire TV model and Smart DNS access with USip. Fire OS and Vega devices can need different instructions. After subscribing, your welcome email provides the login and setup route. Already have access? Use the same account to register your home connection and follow the setup that matches your device.

Choose your streaming service for its Residential US IP offer. After subscribing, your service login and setup instructions arrive by email. Use them to register your home connection and configure your Fire TV or router.
For TV use: confirm Smart DNS access with USip Support before subscribing. Include your exact device model and the streaming service you want. See the offer for current plan terms.
1. Identify your Fire TV model and operating system
Fire TV devices do not all use the same software. Amazon lists the Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025) and Fire TV Stick HD (2026) with Vega OS, while the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2025) and second-generation Fire TV Stick 4K Max use Fire OS 8. Similar product names do not establish identical app or network support. Amazon’s device identification table.
Record the model, generation and installed operating-system version. If a guide’s menus do not match your screen, confirm the setup with USip before choosing a plan. An Android or Fire OS VPN-app tutorial should not be treated as a universal instruction for Vega devices.
2. Check the streaming app and subscription
Choose the actual service you want to watch, then check that its app is available for your Fire TV and Amazon account. Sign in and confirm that your streaming subscription includes the channel, event or title you need. Make these checks before spending time on network settings.
DNS setup concerns the connection. It does not install an unavailable app, change an Amazon account’s store region, or supply a streaming subscription. A successful network configuration also does not establish access to every live channel or programme. Keep the app, subscription and connection checks separate when deciding whether this setup fits your viewing plan. Use the missing streaming app checklist if your Fire TV cannot find or install the service.
If you already see an error, save its exact wording. Our service-specific streaming checks help distinguish location messages, account issues and missing content.
3. Make sure you can configure the right network
Start with USip home-connection registration on a phone or computer using the same home network as the Fire TV. Turn off its VPN; on a phone, use Wi-Fi rather than cellular data. The registration needs the connection your Fire TV will use.
Check that you know the Wi-Fi password and can manage the relevant network settings. For shared accommodation, a managed network or a router you cannot configure, ask USip about your situation before subscribing. Do not assume a setup demonstrated on a home router will apply unchanged.
Before manual network setup, record the Fire TV’s working IP address, your router’s gateway and the network prefix length. Use those values for your own device and network; do not copy another device’s IP address or guess missing numbers. If a value or menu is missing, use the help option in the Fire TV instructions before changing it.
4. Continue with the setup supplied after subscription
Your USip welcome email supplies the service credentials and setup instructions. Register your home connection, then use the values in the current Smart DNS guide. Follow its playback check and allow up to 15 minutes after setup.
Keep the USip Fire TV device instructions open as the model-specific reference. The current general Smart DNS guide does not list a dedicated Fire TV option, so confirm the supported procedure with USip if your menus differ, especially on a Vega device. Use your emailed USip login for registration; your streaming-app login is separate.
5. Test playback and keep the registered connection current
This DNS approach selectively handles supported streaming traffic; it is not a full-device VPN tunnel. An ordinary public-IP checker can still show your regular connection. That result alone neither proves nor disproves whether the selected streaming service is using the intended route.
After completing the supplied setup, open the actual app on the Fire TV and test the title or live channel you intend to watch. If it fails, note the app, model, error and whether other content plays. Those details are more useful than reporting only the country shown by an unrelated website.
It worked before, but stopped: refresh home-connection registration if your public IP changed. DNS or network trouble: follow Smart DNS troubleshooting. A service or title is blocked: use Streaming Doctor for Fire TV. Send your model, operating system, exact error and registration result to USip Support if you need help.
Quick questions
Do I need to install a VPN app on Fire TV?
The USip route covered here uses DNS configuration. App-based VPN instructions are a different setup, and app compatibility can differ between Fire OS and Vega. Confirm your model and the intended method with USip.
Does this change the IP address shown by every website?
No. Selective DNS routing is not a promise that every request uses a US address. Verify the streaming app and content you selected, rather than using a general IP-checking page as the sole test.
What should I have ready before choosing a plan?
Your Fire TV model and operating system, the streaming service you want, access to its app and account, and details of the home network you can configure. Ask USip to confirm any uncertain model or network requirement first.
