Taking Peacock to Canada?
Prepare before you
cross the border.
A weekend visit or a longer stay in Canada can interrupt the Peacock viewing you started at home. Prepare your existing US account, a personal screen and a tested connection before leaving, then repeat the playback check on your Canadian network.
Can you use your US Peacock account on a Canada trip?
Peacock does not officially offer its US streaming service in Canada. Your active account does not make the service portable across the border. Some Peacock programs appear on Canadian services under separate rights; that does not transfer your Peacock account or make the same event available. Prepare a Residential US IP connection option for your own device and test the precise viewing route before the trip.
Your Peacock travel checklist
Start with the screen you will actually use in Canada and one reference episode or event. Complete the five checks at home, where you can still resolve a missing app, account recovery or setup question.
Prepare the device you will take
Update the iPhone or iPad you are packing and confirm that Peacock supports it. If you expect to use a television at a hotel or a relative’s home, verify its model and app access first. Keep your own supported screen ready when that television cannot be configured.
Check supported devices →Open Peacock and find your title
Open Peacock itself and find the exact episode, movie or event you want during the visit. Save its listing. A familiar program in a Canadian app is a separate viewing route, with its own subscription and release schedule.
Resolve app installation and updates before departure, using the store account already associated with your device. A US IP does not change that account’s store country, and reinstalling an app abroad is an avoidable complication.
Check the plan and viewing rights
Open your Peacock account and compare its plan with your trip viewing list. Select is a TV-focused plan that excludes Peacock Originals, movies and sports. Premium and Premium Plus include broader programming; eligible mobile downloads are a Premium Plus feature. Confirm the actual title or event rather than relying on a successful sign-in.
Compare Peacock plan features → Verify that your recovery email is accessible while travelling. If the subscription is billed through another company, identify that billing route before leaving. Peacock credentials and USip access details serve different purposes; this checklist stores neither.
Prepare your US connection
Choose your Residential US IP plan, then use the supplied access details to configure the same device you are taking. Compare the public IP before and after connecting and open your reference video in Peacock. An IP-check result alone cannot confirm video playback.
A residential US IP is a connection option, not a playback guarantee. Service rules, your account and the chosen content still matter.
Test your episode or live viewing mode
Play your reference episode on the travel device and check audio and captions. For sport or another live event, save the exact listing and its time for the Canadian city you will visit. A successful on-demand episode does not test the live event, a local NBC feed or another player.
If you plan to use an eligible download, confirm that the file is complete and check its expiry separately. Repeat online playback after arrival; these completed boxes record preparation at home, not a result measured in Canada.
Checks and connection choices are saved separately for each device in this browser. No account details are stored.
Your Canadian viewing plan may need a different player.
Separate the reason for opening Peacock from the particular program you want. Keeping your US viewing setup, finding a Canadian provider for one show and preparing something for the journey involve different accounts and checks.
- A Canadian show listing: Corus carries selected Peacock programming on networks such as Showcase and W Network, with titles on STACKTV. Check the exact season and episode, language and access provider before treating it as an alternative. Those listings do not turn a US Peacock subscription into Canadian access or establish matching sports rights.
- A fixed-time event: confirm that your Peacock plan includes the event and record the time for your destination city. Check the listing again before it starts. A hotel channel, an on-demand replay and the live Peacock feed are different options; prepare the one you actually need.
- A flight or road-trip stop: selected Premium Plus titles can be downloaded on supported phones and tablets. Unwatched downloads expire after 30 days or when the title leaves Peacock, whichever is sooner; starting playback begins a 48-hour window. Keep this timing in mind when testing a file before a longer trip. Signing out or uninstalling removes downloads, and geographic playback restrictions can still apply.
Test the connection you are really using in Canada.
- Connect the viewing device to your hotel, rental or host’s Wi-Fi and finish any sign-in page. Open an ordinary website first. If you switch from a hotspot to Wi-Fi, treat it as a new connection check.
- Apply the USip setup prepared at home. For Smart DNS, confirm that the current network is registered and that you can configure the actual player; settings on your phone do not automatically configure a separate television.
- Play the same reference title, then recheck the chosen event and local start time. If a video is locked or an error appears, record the exact message and use the Canada diagnostic guide to separate account, plan and connection issues.
