Does a US Paramount+ subscription travel to Spain?
Paramount+ limits US-purchased subscriptions to its supported US service area. A trip to Spain does not turn that subscription into a local one. SkyShowtime operates in Spain and carries content from Paramount brands, but it is a separate service. Prepare your existing US account and a Residential US IP connection option before departure, then test the viewing route you intend to use.

Choose the device you are packing and one reference title. Work through the checks while you can still fix a missing app or account activation at home.
Prepare your viewing device
Update the iPhone or iPad you will take and open the US Paramount+ app. If you expect to use the television in a Spanish hotel or apartment, prepare your own supported screen as a backup.

Open the same Paramount+ app or website you use at home and locate your reference episode. If you subscribe through a channel provider, confirm the player and sign-in that your subscription actually uses.
Save your setup instructions and account-recovery access before departure. Changing an IP address does not change the country of an app-store account or activate a subscription.
Confirm your US account and viewing plan
Check where the subscription was purchased, who bills it and which player it activates. Try signing in again before travel. For a show you usually watch through Prime Video, Apple or a TV provider, establish the correct access route before installing another app.
On-demand episodes, the live local CBS station and downloads are different checks. Paramount+ Premium includes local CBS live access and downloads; verify the specific program and plan before treating a missing option as a connection problem. Paramount+ explains plans and CBS viewing →
Prepare your US connection
Set up USip on the device you will take to Spain. Check the connection and then play your reference episode in Paramount+. Save the steps while you still have time to resolve a setup problem at home.
A Residential US IP supplies a US home-broadband connection option. Paramount+ account, device and geographic rules still apply.
Test an episode, then your other viewing modes
Play several minutes of your reference episode, including sound and captions. If you need a live event or the local CBS feed, check that route separately. One on-demand video does not establish access to every live stream.
For a flight, open any eligible downloaded video on the same mobile device and review its expiry. Downloads can be affected by travel and rights changes; a live broadcast is not an offline backup.

Make a short viewing list for the trip: the series you want to continue, any event with a fixed start time, and something for the flight. Match each item to its player and access requirements.
- US Paramount+ or SkyShowtime? SkyShowtime in Spain offers its own catalog and subscription. A familiar Paramount title there does not transfer your US sign-in, watchlist or access to a particular episode. If you choose that local option, verify the actual title and account requirements.
- Live viewing in Spain. Save the event listing and convert its start time for your destination. Check which feed your US plan includes. A local CBS station, an event tile and an on-demand replay are not interchangeable tests.
- Offline preparation. Check the download option on your eligible plan and supported device, complete the download and review the expiry shown in the app. Keep a backup for travel: downloaded access may change when you enter another country.
On your first evening in Spain, repeat the actual playback check.
- Complete the hotel or apartment Wi-Fi sign-in and confirm ordinary browsing works before opening the streaming app.
- Apply the USip setup you prepared. If using Smart DNS, confirm support and recheck registration for the player’s new network.
- Open the same account and reference episode. For a live event, check its listing again and allow time before the scheduled start. Record the precise error if the outcome differs from your home test.
