Fandango outside the US

How to Watch Fandango Outside the US

Looking for a movie from your Vudu or Fandango at Home collection while abroad? The streaming service now uses the Fandango brand. Start with the account and exact movie edition behind your purchase, then check the viewing device and connection.

Your next step from abroad

Open your existing Fandango streaming library, confirm the purchase or active rental, then try a Residential US IP on the device you will watch. Reopen the full movie after connecting. Fandango limits streaming access to the US, with some territory exclusions. A residential route does not restore a missing purchase, renew a rental or guarantee playback abroad.

For an existing failure, use Streaming Doctor with Fandango selected.

Four steps for your movie library abroad

  1. Find the streaming account. Open Fandango’s streaming service and sign in with the account associated with your former Vudu or Fandango at Home collection. Compare the email with an old purchase receipt if the library looks empty.
  2. Check the title and viewing window. Select the purchased edition or current rental in your library. Read any deadline to start or finish a rental. A store listing, trailer or free version is not the same access check.
  3. Prepare the supported device and connection. Update the app or browser. Review Residential US IP plans if you need another US route, follow the supplied device setup, connect and reopen the player.
  4. Test full-movie playback. Keep the account, edition and quality unchanged while comparing the result. If it fails, note whether the message concerns location, sign-in, rental expiry or protected playback. Try another title you already have access to before paying for another copy.

Before a trip, check any download option on the actual travel device and read that title’s usage rules. Do not assume every device, purchase or rental supports offline viewing.

Find your collection under the current Fandango name

Fandango’s July 2026 announcement brought the former Fandango at Home service under one Fandango brand and expanded free streaming, including guest viewing. Free viewing and your purchased library are different access paths.

The earlier Vudu-to-Fandango at Home announcement preserved libraries and existing credentials. Start with that historical streaming account instead of creating a new one because the logo changed. Follow the library account checks if the collection is missing.

A purchase, rental and imported movie need different checks

A purchase grants viewing access subject to its usage terms; a rental has a limited viewing window. Check the receipt, exact edition and displayed deadline. Changing your IP cannot restart an expired rental.

If you bought the movie through another retailer, Movies Anywhere can share eligible purchases between connected accounts. Compare the original retailer’s library, Movies Anywhere and Fandango before changing account links. An absent import is not evidence that the original purchase disappeared.

Follow the purchase and rental checks with the order details ready. Verify that the movie is eligible and that the intended accounts are linked. A general connection subscription does not buy movies or provide access to someone else’s collection.

Try a residential US connection for the same movie

Fandango’s streaming policy restricts access to the United States and excludes some territories for some content. Having a movie in your library does not remove those conditions.

A Residential US IP supplies configured traffic with a US residential network exit. After setup, reopen the original full movie in the same player. This connection recommendation is not an official Fandango international-travel feature.

For a repeated location failure, use the Fandango connection diagnosis. If you are abroad, the ordinary local connection is not a supported-location baseline. A US result from an IP checker does not establish playback eligibility.

Your library loads, but the movie does not play

Try the same full movie on another supported device and another accessible movie on the original device. Record whether the issue follows the title, the screen or the connection. Keep a timestamp if playback always stops at one point.

For a protected-playback or display error, follow the player checks. The policy requires compatible equipment and protection software; a working trailer does not verify the full movie’s playback requirements. Tell support about any external display or adapter, and avoid buying another copy simply to repeat the test.

If the IP appears US but playback still fails, Streaming Doctor helps separate the connection from account and player symptoms.

Choose a connection for your Fandango viewing device

Review Residential US IP plans and the device setup, then test an existing purchase or valid rental. Keep the connection purchase separate from Fandango’s content charges and account requirements.
