Check where your Paramount+ subscription was purchased
Paramount’s travel guidance separates US subscriptions from international ones. A US subscription remains restricted to its supported US territory. International travel access, where available, does not include the US service. Verified EEA residents also have specific temporary travel provisions within the EEA.
The current US terms require registration and access within the relevant territory. Do not assume that a US account becomes portable because Paramount+ also operates at your destination. Paramount’s travel guidance notes that content, features and supported devices can differ by destination. Search for the actual episode or event on the local service rather than treating every Paramount+ catalog as interchangeable. For live sport, confirm the competition, match, date and local broadcast rights; a series listing tells you nothing about that event.
Some Paramount programming also appears on a different local platform. For example, SkyShowtime lists Paramount+ programming among its content brands across its European markets, including Spain and the Netherlands. Check its current listing for your chosen title. That is a local viewing option, not evidence that your existing Paramount+ login works there.
Separate the Paramount+ plan from the connection plan
For the US service, Paramount’s plan comparison distinguishes Essential and Premium. Essential includes specified sports feeds but excludes the local live CBS station. Premium includes that station, all of SHOWTIME and downloads, with applicable restrictions. If you want a CBS broadcast, establish which feed carries it before choosing a tier.
Check who bills you and which app you use to watch. The US terms explain that subscriptions purchased through partners can carry additional terms and different billing arrangements. A channel subscription inside another platform should prompt an account-access check before you sign up again directly. Keep the streaming subscription and the US connection subscription as separate lines in your budget.
Choose the screen you will actually watch on
Paramount’s supported-device directory links to model and operating-system requirements for computers, phones, TVs and streaming players. Check the exact model, not just the manufacturer. Then confirm whether the connection offer supports that device or needs a router setup.
For a laptop, record the browser and operating system. For a television, distinguish its built-in Paramount+ app from a separate Roku, Fire TV or Apple TV player.
